The study of Pharmacology is essential and important part of pharmaceutical and health care education. Pharmacology involves the study and description of the drugs and their effect on whole body system. As the pharmacist and pharmacologist deals with health care system; the knowledge about the hospital and clinical pharmacy is also essential for better clinical output. Pharmacologist also plays a great role in drug discovery and in clinical research.

Knowledge of Pharmacology serves the purpose of basic human health assessment with the help of health education using educational charts, models and hematological studies. Department provides the facilities for the clinical testing of different body fluids and histopathological studies. The toxicity studies on animals and pharmacological screening of various drugs can be performed by conducting experiments on animals and bioassays on isolated tissues. Department offers training in pharmacology and toxicology to undergraduate students, who may subsequently go on to exciting research, regulatory and administrative careers in academic, industrial and healthcare provision settings. In this direction, the department goal is to prepare exceptional students for productive and successful careers in pharmaceutical industry, academia, research and public sectors.
