Vijayrao Naik College of Pharmacy, Shirval organized Industrial Visit for DCP-I students at Ganesha Personal Care Pvt. Ltd, Kudal on 13th Jan 2024. Mr. Mayur sir, General Plant Manager of Ganesha Personal Care Pvt. Ltd. welcomed the students and faculty members.
The industry has the manufacturing facility of Cosmetics and standard quality control laboratory for Chemical, Instrumental & Microbial testing area wise separate Air Handling Units (AHUS) for entire manufacturing, packing & core areas with temperature & humidity control. Manufacturing unit is WHO-GMP certified and approval is granted by FDA. The unit have Quality Control, Production area, Raw material store, and packaging. The industry is manufacturing various categories of products such as Lipsticks, Eyeliner, Kajal, Face cream, Shampoo, Conditioner etc.
Production officer Mr. Sagar Remulkar sir and Ms. Rutuja Redkar mam explained actual manufacturing process and narrated the department includes information about various equipments required for cosmetic manufacturing such as kajal filling machine, lipstick filling machine, triple roller, sealing machine, semi-automatic single phase shampoo making machine, colloidal mill, hair oil manufacturing machine etc. He also showed and explained about packaging facilities with different materials such as creams jar, cosmetics bottle, lipstick container and other container packing facilities for products depending upon nature of the product and customer requirements.
During the visit students collected information about various department of industry and layout of different departments. They were enriched knowledge about equipments which are useful to carry out different operations in pharmaceutical industry. Student observed standard operating procedure (SOP) and it's significant.
